FREEDOM PARTY PROGRAM

Preamble:

A Structural Transformation of the political and economic system. We must structurally change the system that unfairly benefits the rich wealthy elites while producing poverty, unemployment, homelessness, etc., based on race, gender and class oppression.

 
1. An equitable redistribution of wealth and income.                                            
We must restructure Federal, State, and City budgets to prioritize funding for job creation.
 
2.  Progressive Taxation of the Wealthy.
 
3.  Free Public Education from Pre-K through post baccalaureate.
 
4.  Single-Payer Universal Quality Health Care (Medicare for All).
 
5.  Poverty and Unemployment.  
We must develop a full employment program, and the right to a living wage. We reject union busting tactics.
 
6.  Strong support for the Freedom of Political Prisoners.
 
7.  Strong support for the Reparations Movement.
 
8.  Affordable Housing: Rent Regulations and maintain public housing.
 
9.  Full support for the equitable and fair treatment of women in society at large and in the workplace.
 
10.  Full support for Youth and Senior programs and institutions.
 
11.  An immediate end to Police Brutality and the Abuse Use of deadly force.
 
12.  Support for Clean, Renewable, Sustainable and Affordable Energy Sources, ie Solar, Hydro, Wind, Geothermal.
 
***Special Note***
The Freedom Party is in the process of developing a Foreign Policy Program that will include strong support for Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America and support for the Palestinians in the Middle East; and an end to the financing of wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
